2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (ESV)  "For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 6 being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete."

 

Scripture: 

Ephesians 6:10-13 (NKJV) 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 

KEY POINTS: 

1.     …IN THE LORD

Eph 6:10 “…Be strong in the Lord…”    In fighting the invisible enemy, our strength (in targeting the enemy and winning the battle) is in the Lord (Christ)

  • Not in our own understanding, education, wealth etc.
  • Your spiritual life, marriage life, career, profession etc.    
  • The victory of the church is in the Lord

2.     …IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHTY

Eph 6:10 “…Be strong in the Power of His Mighty…” 

Ephesians 1:18-23: I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
