We live in a very service-based culture... we expect to be served

But, you should be here to Serve, not to be served!

Jesus is transforming us but expects us to Participate in the process...

Jesus taught against the culture of His day...counter-cultural

Project - participating -actively seeking God...

Matthew 7:7-8

"Ask and it will be given to you, Seek and you will find, Knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, the one who seeks finds and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."

Actively - Asking and Seeking! (If you don't ask, you don't receive)

vs. 11...If you then who are evil know how to give good gifts, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good gifts to the one who asks!

Keep Asking, seeking, knocking, searching... don't give up!
Be Inquisitive in your Faith - Keep asking: Why, How? Questions help you learn and grow in your faith

Are there any stupid questions?? Conceptual questions are better... Why vs What? Big picture vs details...

Being Inquisitive - asking Why?

1. Seek and ye shall find

2. Refuse to Settle

3. Be ready to use it

1 - Seek to understand and know His purpose

2 - Refuse to settle for the easy - Aim higher! Dig Deeper!

3 - Be ready to use it - there will be a test - be ready to use what you've learned - Be ready to walk it out!

We tend to have poor memories - we remember feelings more than facts...

"People don't remember what you said but they will remember how you made them feel!"

Know the Purpose -

When we have a purpose we are fulfilled
Walk in Purpose
Actively walking it out and using what you've learned
Asking God where He's directing you... What's the purpose? God, how do I participate {in what you're doing in and through me for your kingdom?}
