"Unfathomable Love"

*God chose motherhood to be a metaphor for his love and care for his people.

God loves us so much more than we love our children - unconditional love.

Appreciating mothers is so important - words of love and affirmation make such a difference.

With motherhood, we have the opportunity to experience the gift of creation!

Genesis 1 - "In the beginning...

God created us all unique.. fearfully and wonderfully made with love and a plan and a purpose for our lives.
We are made in God's image.
God chose all the details about how we look, our personalities etc...

Mothers = comfort, compassion...

Isaiah 49: 15-16

"Can a mother forget her nursing child and not have compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!"

Jeremiah 29:11-12

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord...
...The you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you..."

Just like a parent, he listens and loves and has compassion on us...

He took time to knit you together in your mother's womb.

God is compared to a mother because He is the only one who can fill that void and need for Love.
