"Just Be Better" - Isaiah Mast

"I just want to be a good person"... there's always room for improvement...

We try but we often fail...and when we do, we feel:

  • disappointed
  • sad
  • shame
  • failure

New Age Spirituality says: "We get to choose which path leads to a Higher Self, and realization of our god-consciousness is verified solely by our own, private experience.  If sin is defined out of existence as only an illusion, no transformation or change in our actions is required."

New Age...

  • doesn't make you a better person
  • makes you ignorant of your sin
  • avoids reality
  • lowers the bar so that we never fail

But, I don't have what it takes on my own... I need help! (We need Jesus' help!)

I want to do good, be righteous, holy... I don't want to live in hopelessness or apathy.

What we needs is

Salvation by Grace

through faith alone

in Jesus Christ alone

according to scripture

for the Glory of God!

Romans 7:25-8:2 -

"Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin." Life Through the Spirit 8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."

For those who try and are tired of failing and disappointing others and yourself, the God we serve offers something no other religious can:  GRACE!   God's grace is your freedom to strive for!

You can't out-sin God's Grace!

Jesus made a way for you - He set you free!

You are Salt - pour your salt on that 'slug' (the enemy) -

God's grace never gives up on you, which means you have no reason to ever give up on God!

God's grace is your freedom to strive for - the excellence and goodness of God without fear of failure and the weight of shame.  You have been made alive by God's Grace - there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus!
