John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

  • to a great degree
  • very extremely

"How Deep the Father's Love for Us"

How deep the Father's love for us,How vast beyond all measure! That He should give His only Son,To make a wretch His treasure. How great the pain of searing loss! The Father turns His face away;As wounds which marred the Chosen OneBring many sons to glory.
How deep the Father's love for us,How vast beyond all measure! That He should give His only Son,To make a wretch His treasure. How great the pain of searing loss! The Father turns His face away;As wounds which marred the Chosen OneBring many sons to glory.
Behold the man upon a cross:My sin upon His shoulders;Ashamed I hear my mocking voiceCall out among the scoffers. It was my sin that held Him thereUntil it was accomplished; His dying breath has brought me life:I know that it is finished.
I will not boast in anything:No gifts, no power, no wisdom; But I will boast in Jesus Christ:His death and resurrection. Why should I gain from His reward?I cannot give an answer; But this I know with all my heart:His wounds have paid my ransom.
Why should I gain from his reward?I cannot give an answer; But this I know with all my heart:His wounds have paid my ransom.

1 Corinthians 13:1-8 "The Love Chapter"

  •  "If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."

  • Without love, our witness is void of meaning!

Romans 5:8  "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

  • God demonstrates His unconditional love for us.

Matthew 22:37-40  "Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

  • Love your neighbor as yourself!
  • Dont wait until tragedy happens - Love one another NOW!

1 John 4:19-21 "We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister."

Love is not just what God does...

 LOVE is Who God IS!

God IS LOVE!

Love is His Character, His DNA, His Nature...
